Clients of ours Mark and Katie are a perfect example of how hard work and focus can result in turning dreams into reality.
Mark and Katie are a young couple who grew up in the Hawkesbury region, west of Sydney. Mark is an electrician by trade and Katie has worked on her families farm as well as running her own successful cake business. For a young couple they are tremendously driven and ambitious to succeed in anything they put their minds to.
Their lives in New South Wales saw them with secure jobs while being close to family and friends, but they both shared a dream of moving to the sunny shores of Queensland. Mark in particular has always had an affinity with Queensland having followed the Maroons in the State of Origin from a young age as well the Gold Coast Titans. They have holidayed extensively in the state and had fallen in love with the lifestyle and the sunshine.
After years of working hard and with their eyes always fixed on the prize of moving up north they took the plunge and bought land close to Burleigh Heads, with the goal of building their own home. At first their families were concerned about them being able to find work in a new state, but they showed that if you want something enough, you can make it happen.
In the beginning they worked from NSW as their dream home began to be built, but Mark eventually moved up north early and has now successfully established his own business. While there he has been able to watch over the building process and with Katie frequently visiting they have been able to carry out work of their own around the home. It has been a long time coming but after years of sacrifice and perseverance their home is expected to be finished in time for Christmas.
We are so proud of their achievement and are so happy to have been able to be a part of it with them. We love nothing more than seeing people chase their dreams and live the kind of life that they want to live.
